This morning Jim interviewed Glenn Lavender, bassist for the band Downhere. When asked about the tour, Glenn said that he loves this tour for a couple of reasons, that he gets to hang with friends and that there is something for everyone. Glenn spoke a bit about the history and metaphors behind their new album, "On the Altar of Love." When writing the songs for the album the band wanted to go back to the "roots of their faith," and fellow band member Jason was given a photo of his ancestors by his grandmother. The entire band is from Canada, and the photo depicted settlers from Ontario. So the band tried to recreate that pioneering spirit with the songs and with the cover photo. Join Downhere along with Aaron Shust and Jason Gray for the "Called to Love" Tour on Mar 16 at Okolona Christian. Tickets are available at wjie.org
