Great Balloon Glow part of KDF in Louisville, KY

Community Events: Today kicks off another huge weekend of events in Louisville.  This morning we mentioned a few of them, including a Bacon Ball that Jim G really wanted to attend.  If you haven't visited our website in a while, we have a free online Community Calendar that will keep you updated on family friendly events throughout the area.


Great Balloon Glow:
One of tonight's most anticipated events is the U.S. Bank Derby Festival Great Balloon Glow is a companion event to the race, the balloons inflate in their launch position on the field, but do not ascend. As the pilots fire their burners, watch as the balloons glow against the blackness of the night sky, synchronized to a special musical score.  It's all happening tonight; gates open at 6:00 pm and the Balloon Glow begins at 9:00 pm.


Celebration Sunday: 
It's just a few days away, join us at Waterfront park this Sunday for a concert with Building 429, Chris Sligh, and Jonny Diaz.  All you need is a $5.00 Pegasus Pin.  Bring your picnic blankets, your lawn chairs, and all of your closest friends.  Details available at wjie.org
