Morning Show Highlights

National Day of Prayer: Today is the National Day of Prayer.  We mentioned this morning that there are many prayer gatherings taking place across the nation including several across Kentucky and Indiana.  Please remember to pray for our Nation today.  If you would like to join one of the many corporate prayer
gatherings, visit NationalDayofPrayer.org.

Fact or Fiction: This morning's Fact or Fiction was about "Tennis Shoes" or as Jim calls them "Sneakers."  Our contestant won a Laura Story Prize Pack.  You can win too.  Just play Fact or Fiction with us weekday mornings at 7:20 am, only on 88.5 WJIE.

Tonight Around Town: Pegasus Parade
It was first held in 1956, is the Kentucky
Derby Festival's oldest and founding event. It is not surprising that the parade is consistently voted as one of Louisville's favorite events. More than 90% of the route is free public viewing. This year’s Pegasus Parade features: colorful floats, marching bands, giant inflatables, equestrians and celebrities
parading down Broadway in downtown Louisville.

The parade goes from West on Broadway from Campbell to 9th.  It starts at 5:00 pm, but if you don't have a ticket and keep in mind some people begin lining up around Noon.  Visit kdf.org for info.

Plugged-In Movie Review:
Each Friday we air a Plugged-in Movie Review so you can decide whether or not you want to check out the latest films at the theater.  This week's Plugged-in Movie review will be about The Avengers.  The Avengers features an all-star superhero line up.  It's one of the most anticipated films in years.  If you want to make sure that it's family friendly, listen to the Plugged-in Movie Review this Friday at 7:20 am and 5:20 pm on 88.5 WJIE!
